Why You Should Support Our Organization

The mission of Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans of Virginia (CAPAVA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is to have an organized voice throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

CAPAVA aims to:

  • Promote active participation of Asian & Pacific Americans in the policy arena and support community organizing efforts
  • Support and defend equal rights and opportunities for all Asian & Pacific Americans
  • Promote economic development and self sufficiency for Asian & Pacific Americans
  • Eliminate prejudice, stereotype and profiling against Asian & Pacific Americans
Many of you have served as great examples for your constituents and members in furthering the cause and helping Asian-Americans engage purposefully in building trust, cross-cultural exchanges, and re-building of many important economic and social agendas.  On behalf of all Asian-Americans, we would like to thank you for your involvement, continued support, leadership, tireless efforts in shaping how Asian-Americans could continue to contribute to wealth, growth and development of America, and the state of Virginia.

We seek to encourage increasing engagement and participation, and seek your ongoing support in shaping our dialogue, teaming and collaboration with you.  We hope you will continue to help us create a solid platform and forum to engage each other in dialogue, exchange ideas, thoughts, views, comments on how we can contribute to the above goals, so we can collaboratively shape our contributions to the Nation, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, and its neighbors.
